This is the Privacy & Cookies Policy (the “Policy”) of Just About Community Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with registration number 13980864, with registered address 168 Church Road, Hove, England, BN3 2DL (hereafter ‘Just About’, ‘we’ or ‘us’). This Policy describes the ways in which Just About collects and uses information about you when you use our Just About platform made available when you use our platform at about.justabout.com or, in the future, via our mobile application (together the “Platform”).

Just About may change this Policy at any time and whilst it will tell you about what it feels are key changes to the Policy, please check it regularly to keep up-to-date. If you do not wish to accept the new Policy you should stop using the Platform. If you continue to use the Platform after the changes, your continued use of the Platform shows us your agreement to be bound by the new Policy.

  1. 1. ICO registration: For the purposes of data protection legislation, Just About is the controller for the processing of your personal data and has registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (“ICO”).

When you create a Verified User Account.For audit purposes.Contractual necessity.In order to create a Verified User Account, you are required to link your Just About account to your PayPal account. When doing so, PayPal will provide us with the details of your postal address, as recorded on your PayPal account. This information will be kept on our system for audit purposes only so that we can retain an audit trail of payments made by us to you (if any).

When you interact with the Platform and accept that we place cookies on your computer or deviceFor analytics purposes.ConsentYour IP address is automatically logged by the Platform when you access it. This information is sent in aggregate to one of our third party analytics providers (as set out under clause 3 below) for behavioural analytics purposes (for instance, to obtain statistics about the geographic location of users, how long users stay on our Platform or which are the most viewed pages). Just About only stores on its system a shortened version of your IP address.
Handles, login IDs, usernames, default settings and any other information you choose to be shared with, or that such account requires to be shared with, Just About in connection with your social media accounts on the following platforms:

If you choose to link any of your social media accounts to your Just About account after signing up.To reward content posted from these sites on the Platform.Consent.You may choose to link any or all of your social media accounts to your Just About account in order to share content from these platforms with the Platform, for instance when entering into Bounty contests. You can elect to remove any of these links from your account at any time by deleting them from your account settings.

  1. 3. Sharing your information with third parties: Some of the information Just About collects from you is passed to third parties. These third parties are:
    • (a) our database and storage hosting provider – Render;
    • (b) our distribution and marketing email service provider – Mailgun;
    • (c) our behaviour analytics providers – Segment and Google Analytics;
    • (d) our DNS service provider – Amazon Web Services;
    • (e) our user authentication service provider – Auth0, Inc.;
    • (f) certain third party analytics and cookies providers as described further in paragraph 7 below;
    • (g) our regulator (the ICO);
    • (h) in anonymised form, Just About may share the information with:
      • i. any third party, in relation to the sale of some or all of Just About’s business, or its assets, or as part of any business restructuring or reorganisation. Just About will take steps with the aim of ensuring that your rights continue to be protected if your personal data is transferred under these circumstances;
      • ii. data aggregators and platform providers as part of an analysis of user metrics or sales performance; or
      • iii. law enforcement agencies in compliance with law enforcement.

    Just About's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  2. 4. Links to third party websites: Just About is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other sites even if you access them via the Platform. You should check the policy of each site you visit and contact its owner or operator if you have any concerns or questions.
  3. 5. Security: Just About has implemented technology and policies to safeguard your privacy from unauthorised access and improper use.
  4. 6. Storage and Data Retention: We store your personal data in the EEA. Where we permit any third party to transfer personal data outside the UK and/or EEA we ensure that we have an appropriate adequacy ground to do so e.g., SCCs. We retain your data for no longer than is reasonable in line with the purposes for which it was originally collected.
  5. 6. Cookies:
    • (a) What are Cookies? Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you use the Platform. Just About’s use of cookies is detailed below. Session cookies enable you to move from page to page within the Platform and/or and any information you enter will be remembered but is deleted when you close the page on that Website or after a short time. Persistent cookies allow us to remember your preferences and settings when you use the Platform in the future.
    • (b) Disabling Cookies: The use of the cookies described above improves the functionality of the Platform and your experience of using them. If you do not want these cookies to be served on your device, you are able to disable them by changing the settings on the Platform or on your device. Please note that if you do decide to disable cookies you may not be able to access some of the Platform, and some of the features of the Platform may not function properly.
    • (c) Third Party Cookies: Third Party advertisers may place or read cookies on your browser or device when you use the Platforms. This Policy is applicable only to the use of cookies by Just About and does not cover the use of cookies by any third parties.
